First of all, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for visiting our website. We appreciate your interest in us and hope you join us in worship.
I am currently completing my seminary studies and will finish and earn an MDiv in September 2025. I aim to finish my ordination exams in November, after which I will undergo an examination on the CFP floor for ordination. Until such time, I do not bear the official title of Pastor or TE. I am a candidate for Gospel Ministry. I am currently licensed by the CFP to preach, and in light of Springs Church's call to me for pastoral ministry, I do most of the preaching here at Springs. Every month, a wonderful retired TE joins us to preach and officiate over the Lord's Supper.
My training at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando has fostered a deep sense of the significance of Christ-centered preaching, along with a love and appreciation of Redemptive History and Biblical Theology. It is always my desire for those things to be reflected in my teaching, preaching, and ministry to the congregation I serve.
I sincerely hope you will delve into our website, discover more about us, and perhaps even join us for a visit. I want to leave you with some words from one of our members that were recently published in our bi-monthly newsletter. Her sentiments, I believe, aptly capture the essence of our church:
MY DESIRE
Submitted by Maybelle Pratt
Our church…a taste of heaven?
Our church is our family… Our Father is in heaven… Hallowed be His name.
My church in Maine was a branch of my family with my husband and children, and my first church in Florida was a branch of my family, even though some had a different color to their skin and spoke with an accent. We had so much fun with those people. They possessed knowledge of God and knew how to rejoice and celebrate in Christ Jesus, and indeed, they had a remarkable gift for singing! We missed them when we moved, but this current Spring's church has become our family, and we love it as God has loved us. We are grateful to be in this new family branch that God has put us in.
God put us here to do His work and to enjoy the love and friendship this church provides. We are a part of the living, breathing body of Jesus Christ. How wonderful is that! The love, unity, and servant spirits are special with our present Springs Presbyterian Church that we didn’t experience in other times or other places. Unity, love, and a servant relationship go together as we walk hand-in-hand and fully mature to serve, each with our own God-given talents and gifts, the church of God at Springs Church in the Nature Coast of Florida, USA.
Our lives will forever be changed because we lived and worked in the church branches that Jesus Christ, our Savior, lived and died for. Yes, Springs Church, 2025, is a taste of heaven. My prayer is that we always walk close to one another, serving and enjoying our God and Father in Heaven.
